OUR OHANA
Locally owned, family-run physical therapy for Windward Oahu since 1995.
Origin Story
Since 1995, Fukuji & Lum Physical Therapy has been locally owned and operated by licensed physical therapists Randall Fukuji, P.T. and Arthur Lum, P.T. What started as a two-person practice in Kailua has grown into a full clinical team serving Windward Oahu across two locations. Thirty years later, we are still here, still locally owned, and still treating every patient like family.
E komo mai, welcome to our ohana.
Meet our leadership
Lauren graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Hawai'i at Manoa and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Growing up with a teacher for a mom and a physical therapist for a dad, Lauren saw early on how kindness, patience, and a genuine desire to help others could make a real difference in people’s lives. That example inspired her to follow in her dad’s footsteps and become a physical therapist. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and two kids. One of the best things about being a PT in Lauren’s opinion is helping people move better so they can get back to the activities they love doing.

OUR FOUNDERS
Founder & OwnerRandall Fukuji, PT
A hospitalization in high school left Randall grateful for the care he received, and determined to give the same to others. A University of Washington graduate, he co-founded Fukuji & Lum in 1995.
Founder & OwnerArthur Lum, PT
Fearless, energetic, and kindhearted, Art co-founded the practice in 1995. Like Michelangelo, he says, physical therapists 'visualize the angel in the granite, carve it out, and set it free.'

Rachel found her path through a junior-high career test, followed physical therapy, and never looked back, practicing since 1988. She specializes in aquatic PT, manual therapy (NAIOMT), and orthopedics. Her favorite moments are when patients achieve what they thought was impossible, watching it happen right before their eyes. Off the clock, she's outdoors and on the water, or at the softball field or pickleball court.
Tasha-Leigh Yong, PT, DPT
Ryan Sakuma, PT, DPT, COMT
-
Tasha-Leigh knew she wanted to be a physical therapist after her own experience with PT in high school. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University and specializes in pelvic health, with certifications in Pelvic Floor Levels 1, 2A (Pelvic Pain), and 2B (Colorectal Conditions), plus Pregnancy and Postpartum Rehab. She loves getting to know her patients and walking with them through the stages of pregnancy and postpartum. When she's not at the clinic, you'll find her reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two boys.
-
Ryan has a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Pacific University and went on to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from West Coast University. Ryan decided to become a PT after being a patient himself from multiple sports injuries; he spent time volunteering with F&L and decided to pursue his passion for the profession. He is now an FCE Specialist and executes Physical Work Performance Evaluations
Benjamin Ota, PT, DPT, COMT
Brad Kaya, PT, MS, OCS, CMPT
Kailua Clinic Advisor
Physical Therapist
-
Ben became a physical therapist to inspire both physical and psychological growth in his patients, adapting each treatment to their personal goals. A Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, he values the quality time spent getting to know the people he treats. What he loves most is watching progress happen in real time, as patients regain their quality of life. In his free time, he's playing basketball, hiking, at the beach, or with his wife.
-
After volunteering and researching the field, Brad was drawn to the close, hands-on relationships PT builds during recovery — and he's now practiced for over 35 years. He's a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Certified Manual Physical Therapist (NAIOMT). The best part of the job, he says, is meeting people and helping them reach their goals for better health and a better life. Outside the clinic, he's walking his dog, working in the yard, or kickboxing.

Jocelyn's own PT treatment as a teen, and a volunteer summer as a PT aide, set her on this path, and forty years later she's still at it. She's a Certified Pediatric Aquaticist and Certified Cupping Therapist who cares for the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. What she loves most is simply connecting with patients and helping them recover. Off the clock, you'll find her hiking, doing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Physical Therapist

Victor found his way to physical therapy by way of the gym; friends noticed how thoughtfully he structured their workouts and encouraged him toward training, but he wanted to go further, and PT became the path. A Boston University graduate, he works at our aquatic and W.O.R.C. clinics. For him, the best part of the work is the relationships: with enough curiosity and compassion, he says, you earn a trust that extends well beyond the walls of the clinic. Outside work, he's body surfing, running, writing poems, volunteering, and clearing trees in Waimānalo.
-
As a teenager, Sarah was told to quit swimming for her shoulder, and later that she might never run again after a bad ankle sprain — then PT got her back to both, pain-free, within weeks. That 'how did simple exercises fix all that?' moment led her into the field. Today she specializes in pelvic floor and orthopedic PT, and there's nothing she finds more rewarding than helping people return to what they love. Outside work, she's swimming, running, or walking her dog at Kailua Beach.
Kay Rondeau, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
-
Kay's passion for physical therapy started during five years as a PT tech, which led her to become a physical therapist assistant in Oregon. Over five years as a PTA, her commitment to patient care grew into a desire to make the greatest clinical impact she could — so she pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. A Hawaii Pacific University graduate, she's an AIB-Certified Vestibular and Concussion Therapist working at our aquatic and W.O.R.C. clinics. The best part of the job, she says, is helping patients progress, reach their goals, and regain their quality of life. Off the clock, you'll find her hiking, walking her dog, spending time with family, or having a mai tai at Monkeypod.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANTS
Jessie Dullaga, PTA
Colleen Yee, PTA
-
Jessie earned his Associate of Science from Kapiolani Community College and has spent over 19 years as a PTA. For him, the best part of the work is seeing the change in a patient's life, watching things go from bad to good. Outside the clinic, he's spending time with his kids.
-
Colleen became a PTA because she wanted to be out from behind a desk, working with people and with her hands. A SUNY Orange graduate with over 20 years of experience, she specializes in acute and outpatient therapy, and says her patients are the best part of the job. Outside work, she's outdoors, which she says is easy to do in Hawaiʻi.
Josmin Pascua, PTA
Jesse Temple, PTA
-
A skiing accident in college led Kyra to physical therapy, and the kindness of the therapists who helped her recover inspired her to join the profession herself. A graduate of Kapiolani Community College, she specializes in orthopedics and aquatic therapy at our Kokokahi aquatic clinic. For her, the best part of the job is the patients: getting to meet people from all walks of life, hear their stories, and build relationships. Outside work, you'll find her at the beach with her husband and a few fishing poles.
Jenni Johnson, PTA, LMT
Kyra Prokuski, PTA
PTA & Massage Therapist
-
Jenni became a PTA and LMT because she wanted to help people — and keep growing her own understanding of how bodies work. A graduate of Kapiolani Community College and UH Mānoa, she has 13 years of experience as a PTA and 5 as a massage therapist, with training in cupping, sports massage, and myofascial release. What she loves most is helping patients become more aware of their own bodies and the habits that get them to their goals. Outside the clinic, she's crafting, cooking, singing, and tending to her people and her plants.
-
Ross's fascination with anatomy and kinesiology led him first to become a PT assistant, then to massage therapy — driven by a desire to help people heal their pain. A graduate of Kapiolani Community College and the Institute of Structural Medicine, he's a Structural Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of experience, specializing in myofascial release, structural integration, injury rehab, cupping, and taping. Outside the clinic, he's with his wife and their fluffy family members, working out, catching a movie, or being active outdoors.
-
Jadelyn came to massage therapy from teaching yoga, where her favorite part was hands-on work with alignment and form. Board-certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork, she specializes in chronic pain management, orthopedic injury recovery, and relaxation massage. For her, nothing beats hearing a patient say they feel better walking out than they did walking in. When she's not in the clinic, she's a professional equine massage therapist, a runner, an equestrian, and a continuing-education instructor for fellow LMTs.

Jesse always knew he wanted to work in medicine, and it was his time as a Naval Hospital Corpsman, caring for patients hands-on, that first drew him to physical therapy. A Kapiolani CC graduate, he works at our Kailua and aquatic clinics, with a focus on outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, and functional strength and conditioning. His background in sports and training gives him a real appreciation for movement, and the best part of the job, he says, is watching patients return to the things they enjoy. Off the clock, he's working out, being outside, or hanging out with his dog.
Ian Wilkinson, PTA
-
Ian's interest in rehab and sports medicine made physical therapy a natural next step after leaving the U.S. Navy. He's IASTM-certified and works across the Kailua and aquatic clinics. The most rewarding part of the job, he says, is watching patients grow stronger and more confident in what their bodies can do. When he's not working, he's bonding with his dog, playing video games, or trying a new recipe in the kitchen.
